Spring Air Mattress Ratings and Reviews - How Does the Bed Compare Vs Sealy, Serta, Simmons

!±8± Spring Air Mattress Ratings and Reviews - How Does the Bed Compare Vs Sealy, Serta, Simmons

Are you possibly interested in buying a Spring Air innerspring-based mattress? Then you've come to the right place because I have some important facts to share with you.

The Research

My research team has conducted extensive mattress research by collecting data from thousands of mattress owners.

Based on this research, Spring Air innerspring-based mattresses (not memory foam or latex based) did not perform as well as the other mattresses included in the research, such as top sellers Simmons, Sealy, Serta and Kingsdown.

Specifically, only about 35% of Spring Air owners found their bed to be comfortable. In contrast, about 50%-65% of the owners of the other innerspring bed brands found their beds to be comfortable. And when compared to non-innerspring beds, such as airbeds, memory foam beds, waterbeds and latex beds, Spring Air did only worse.

Reason for Dissatisfaction

The main reason for dissatisfaction among owners was sagging of the mattress. Spring Air owners often said that the bed would develop "sink holes" and leave body impressions, even if they flipped or turned the bed as they were supposed to. The sagging also often took place within just a few years and sometimes within just a few months or weeks after purchase.

Many mattresses, especially innerspring beds, have trouble with sagging, but Spring Air mattresses seemed to have significantly more trouble, according to our research.

All of this is not to imply that there are no satisfied and happy Spring Air mattress owners, because there are. However, there are more satisfied owners of other types and brands of beds, according to the data.

Finally, I should mention that our research does not rate specific models, but rather the brand as a whole. Consequently, there may be some Spring Air models that perform better than others. And Spring Air also offers non-innerspring mattresses, and these very well may be more competitive than their innerspring beds.

What is an Insanely Comfortable, Soft Mattress?

!±8± What is an Insanely Comfortable, Soft Mattress?

Looking for a very comfortable and very soft mattress? There are a lot of these around. Simmons Mattress Company is purported to have the softest and the plushest mattress around. If you have seen that commercial of a bowling bowl dropped on a mattress, it is from this company.

An innerspring mattress is usually softer than other types of mattress like air, latex and especially memory foam (these ones are usually very firm). The more innersprings integrated in the mattress, the softer it gets. This is because the springs integrated are not as thick.

If you want an even softer mattress surface, you can always go for a wool fleece mattress pad. This will complete your craving for an ultra soft mattress. The key there is in the materials used. Pick those that are made form soft materials such as fleece, cotton and satin.

You might also want to go for water beds. Since water conforms seamlessly to body contours, it will surely have the softness you want. Another advantage to this mattress is that you can heat it up during winter so it is even more comfortable.

There is a point to ponder on though. While these mattresses may seem like the most comfortable mattress in the world, it is still not a good idea to solely rely on softness for comfort. In fact, most people who purchased a very soft bed could not sleep on it because it triggers the development of back aches.

Your back, especially your upper body needs more support. That means, it requires more mattress firmness on that area. Just a suggestion, instead of purchasing a plush bed, consider your body type and what your body really needs. Soft does not really equate to comfort in the mattress industry.

Opt for those beds with a combination of plushness and firmness just like talalay latex. It is a softer kind of latex mattress. This will give you a balanced firmness and softness. If you want to make it a lot softer as you are used to that kind of bed, you can always place a wool fleece pad on top of it.

This is a point you should consider before you buy a mattress. But whatever you do, make sure that it is really the right mattress that will address your body and sleep concerns. Consider comfort and support above everything else so you will end up with the best mattress.

Is a Latex Mattress Too Hot When You Live in the Tropics?

!±8± Is a Latex Mattress Too Hot When You Live in the Tropics?

One of the things you need to consider when choosing a mattress is the ability of the mattress to dissipate heat. If it cannot do that, it may get too warm during hot and humid seasons.

Latex mattress has been deemed as the most breathable out of all the mattresses which is why it is a type of mattress recommended for those living in tropical countries with extended summer seasons.

Let me tell you more about the construction of this mattress. The main material of this mattress is rubber tree sap. The sap creates a very durable foam that can withstand wears and tears.

What is unique to this mattress is its pincore holes. These holes allow air to flow in the mattress and out seamlessly. Not all latex mattress have the same pincore holes sizes. Some have smaller and others have bigger sizes.

Sleep experts say that those with larger pincore sizes are better. It regulates mattress temperature better as hot air is not trapped inside the mattress. This is why it is an ideal mattress to use whether it be a 2-seasoned country or a 4-seasoned country. It keeps you refreshingly cool during summer and comfortably warm during winter.

Another advantage of these pincore holes is its ability to conform to the body. Memory foam mattresses allegedly take the cake when it comes to body conforming. However, latex give them a run for their money due to the pincore hole structure. The holes support the crucial areas of the body like the neck, spine and hips and gets rid of body aches and pains.

The efficiency of latex as a mattress has often been pitted against memory foam, them being spring-free mattresses. However, when it comes to temperature regulation, latex stands out. Memory foam mattress only has solid layers of foam inside and this do not allow air to dissipate in the mattress. Consumers complain that when they use this mattress during the winter, it tends to feel a little cold. It follows room temperature, that is why.

Also, latex reduces that appearance of allergies that is more common during the hot seasons. Sometimes, these allergies are instigated by your skin being drenched in your own seat when you sleep on the mattress.

Latex mattress is a good choice for everyone especially to those living in tropical countries. So start searching for your own now and get a comfortable and relaxed sleep.
